Designed and illustrated by me, Charlotte Hepburn, this Welsh-themed riso print centres around the word “Hiraeth”, a term with no direct English equivalent. It’s often used to describe a deep sense of longing or homesickness, layered with nostalgia, memory, and an ache for what has been lost or left behind, particularly within Welsh culture.

Printed in the UK using vibrant, soy-based risograph inks on 250gsm Context Natural paper. Each print has its own quirks and character, with slight variations that make every one unique.

Part of my wider Welsh language series, celebrating words and phrases that carry meaning, history, and emotion.
